All things are. Journal for creative experiment.
All things are is a journal for creative experiment. A cross-cultural magazine showcasing and debating design, music, architecture, art, programming, dance, mathematics, literature . . . . Each number is based on a theme, to which contributing features respond.
You might want to view it as a curatorial project as, at this stage, All things are alone define the themes and invite artists. However, this curator is giving the artist complete freedom within the set theme and format. In private, All things are regard it a bit reactionary - to the current trend of "over-curation" of exhibitions, magazines, and life in general; there's no set ideology nor any specific theoretical framework. We hope that the magazine will find its own voice and convey a certain affirmation of its own objectness.
We invite people from various fields of practice to participate. We are also interested in you submitting your ideas to us. If we like your idea, we'll ask you to submit a complete feature. Read more about submitting in . . . Submitting.
All things are will look for distributors mainly in Sweden, Spain, the UK, and other parts of Europe. You are likely to find the magazine in specialist bookshops, art institutions, design galleries, and so on. If you have any contacts or ideas that could help us with regard to distribution, let us know!
We are working on the first number of All things are, for which we are accepting submitals through August 1st 2005.
Our intention is to publish 2-3 numbers each year.
All things are is a collaborative project initiated by Katherine Klinker and Fredrik Jönsson.
